FGN APPOINTS A NEW PROVOST FOR FCAHPTIB

The Federal Government, through the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, has approved appointed Dr Adekoya Olatunde Owosibo as the Provost/Chief Executive Officer of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Moor Plantation, Ibadan, in Oyo State. The appointment, according to the government, is for a single period of five years with effect from Friday, 21August, 2020.The government believes that agriculture is the way to diversify the economy, and livestock and aquaculture play a significant role not only in food security, but also in meeting nutritional requirements, job creation and social security, which the college could boost. Prior to his appointment as the provost, Dr Owosibo has served in key strategic and leadership capacities, including but not limited to being a Head of Department, director of different offices, head of various units and chairman of many committees, in addition to functioning as a lecturer and supervisor to various research pr...
