Is it Mississippi State University or Glasgow University? Whichever affiliated institutions
We were told back then that if we read so well even to the point of dying on our books and we come out with good grades we would be given access to study in universities abroad. Those were the things my parents saw and wanted their child to study in Moor Plantation, but in the long run even after graduating with one of the best cumulative graduating point average of my time through God's grace the college came up with a news that the past students who were given the opportunity had soiled the path for us. Please, should every disciples be murdered for the sins of Judas Iscariot? Or should all Nigerians be killed for the sins of the Boko Haram sects? NO!
Now nothing excites students to read anymore. Most students only that for the sake of direct entry into a university in Nigeria where they need to begin from either 200Level as National Diploma (ND) students or 300Level as Higher National Diploma (HND) students. Infact, those aiming to study Veterinary Medicine begins from 100Level as ND students or 200Level as HND students after using 5 years to acquire their HND certificates. This is RUBBISH.
I stand to say NO! Bring back our affiliations.
WHAT DO YOU SAY?

Wow! Great writer
ReplyDeleteWhy is Nigeria education system is like this? After 5 years in school to obtain HND And after graduating you want to go and study veterinary medicine and you were told to start from 200level. This is not fair
ReplyDeleteThat is what they have to give us. If our leaders are any wise or even educated won't they have changed this all this while? The dichotomy still stands so what is the essence of creating a system that causes one to be inferior. If nothing would be done to this, I then think the simple solution to this is scrapping out mono/polytechnics.
DeleteWhich school is this?
